The aim of the Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking Schools is to train professional watchmakers who will be the future heads of customer service within the Swatch Group.
The Hong Kong school offers two watchmaking courses that prepare students for the demands of modern customer service:
Both courses combine tradition and cutting edge technology in balanced harmony.
The Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking School in Hong Kong was established in January 2013, when six students embarked on the 3,000-Hour WOSTEP Program that lasts two years.
From 2014 on, the school is also offering the WOSTEP Watch Service Technician Program. This course is full-time and lasts one year (1,800 hours of training). The maximum number of students for each intake is eight. The course is taught in English, although Chinese language assistance for explanations is allowed.
For both courses, the minimum age for enrollment is 18 and the minimum qualification required is a High School graduation. It is matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which this course may lead.
Hong Kong citizens and international students are eligible to enroll and study at this school.
